For both Walks: meet at the blue sign / green Grove St. gate at 8 a.m. (walks are about 2 hours) Bird Walks are geared towards beginners, but birders of all experience levels are welcome! Bring binoculars and field guides if possible. Sturdy walking shoes or sneakers are advisable. Bring snacks and water if you wish. No bathroom facilities are available on the Walks. Do not park in the Cemetery; use side streets off Grove Street. (Last tour is at 3:45 p.m.) Tour the Shepherd Brooks Manor (first floor) for a glimpse into the past and a vision of the future! Free. Refreshments. The Manor is located at the end of the access road, which runs from the green gate on Grove Street in Medford. The walk up the road is very pleasant. Parking at the Manor is generally limited to Handicapped parking. Please park along the access road or outside the Estate. Do not park in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Getting there. Please meet at the Shepherd Brooks Manor. A variety of indoor and outdoor Spring chores will be on the list. Volunteers are welcome. Wear work clothes and sturdy shoes. An annual tradition in Medford. Free to all. We supply the hamburgers, hot dogs, and sodas, and ask people to bring junk food, salads and cookie-type desserts. But you do not have to bring anything to attend. Also includes our annual Raffle and lots of fun! The Manor yard is located at the end of the access drive, which runs from the green gate/blue sign on Grove Street in Medford.
