Manor House Detail Our efforts are currently focussed on key pieces of the protection and restoration project: Open Space and Landscape -- M-BELT is pursuing several projects at the Estate, including further work on the vista between the Manor and Ponds, attention to historic trees, and removal of invasives. Historic Core Landscape -- We are concentrating on external drainage improvements at the building perimeter, yard re-grading, plantings, and if funds permit, relocating electrical utilities underground. Shepherd Brooks Manor -- Work was completed on the Manor Roof and we are in the process of restoring the seventy windows and recreating functional historic shutters that will serve as both insulation and security. This project is underway and funds are needed to ensure successful completion. Carriage House -- Plans are underway to restore the Carriage House to provide Medford with a first-class facility suitable for a variety of functions: social events, lectures, presentations, art and cultural events. To contribute to the Manor Restoration, or any other project, use this printable donation form, or fill out our online form and mail us a check. |
